Transcendence

As she looked around her, she realized that all was not lost.

Life was tough for her. After years of constant turmoil, death looked like the only solution. Half of her life had been wasted dodging controversy. Being a political writer was the absolute worst decision she had made.

Opposing the corrupt government was something she excelled at. In a country where censorship was enforced, free speech wasn’t something that was tolerated.

She had come close to death too many times. Her outspoken, carefree nature had gotten her into trouble way too many times.

She was successful in dodging assassination attempts. She was very good at being discreet. Of course, moving around the country was tough, but she somehow managed it.

Her accurate reports of blatant corruption and exploitation across the nation gave hope to all the citizens. They were too afraid to speak up, but she stood as a ray of hope for all those suppressed citizens.

Under a false veil of good diplomacy and a thin veneer of development, her nation’s government operated one of the worst genocides history had ever known. A large web of human trafficking, segregation and state-sponsored terrorism was spread across the country.

She was confident that she could turn the tide.

As the plane neared Oslo, she looked out of the window. A new country. A new life.

More importantly, it was a place where she could find her voice again.

Her plan was fairly straightforward: she would speak up at human rights conferences across Norway, telling everyone about the exploitation of human rights in her homeland. She would try to attract the attention of various world leaders towards her cause.

She had an insurmountable task ahead of her, but she was confident she would succeed.

She was ready to bring transition.

A transition that would spawn a new era of freedom in her homeland.

A new dawn was waiting for her homeland.

As the plane touched down at the runway, she sighed happily with relief.

She shivered, but not due to cold. She shivered due to her own fear of future. Tomorrow, she would begin a new life.

There was hope left for her…and her homeland.

After what felt like ages, she smiled.

Plane skids off runway at Oslo Airport, all reported dead.

Oslo: A Norwegian Airlines flight arriving at Oslo skidded off from the runway and crashed into a nearby hangar, resulting in the deaths of crew and all 143 passengers. Data from the black box retrieved from debris pointed towards the fact that there was a problem with landing gear. Reports suggest that the flight might have been sabotaged. The plane was reportedly carrying Annette K., a political activist who falsely accused her homeland of human rights violation. Her body was identified amongst all debris and will be sent to her country’s embassy in Oslo. For further details, you can read the full report at our website.
